Bhubaneswar: The first selection Merit List of Phase-I online admission to Plus II (+2) courses through the Student Academic Management System (SAMS) portal will be published on July 20, an Information & Public Relations (I&PR) department notification issued today in this regard mentioned.

According to the official source, at least 4,76,074 students have applied against 5,48,313 available seats in higher secondary education for the academic Session 2024-25. Desirous short-listed candidates will be admitted to Class XI in Arts, Science, Commerce, Vocational, and Upashastri streams.

Online application process for admission in the current academic year ended on July 12.

Selected candidates can download their Intimation Letters from: https://www.samsodisha.gov.in/

The short-listed students will receive necessary information relating to their nominated higher secondary institutions either through WhatsApp or SMS. They can take admission at the respective educational institutions between July 22 and July 27, 2024.

After the online admission process of 1st selection Merit List of Phase-I is over, candidates who have been nominated to a lower choice of Higher Secondary School (HSS) can apply for a raise in conformity with their choices provided in the Common Application Form (CAF) through ‘slide up request’.

This option will be available to candidates between July 22 and July 30, 2024. Desirous candidates are requested to apply through Student Login ID. Applications will be considered based on the vacant seats after the admission process for 1st selection Merit List of Phase-I ends, the source said.

Notably, classes for the current academic year will begin on August 1. All HSS authorities in Odisha have duly been issued the guidelines relating to admission through SAMS, the notification added.
