2 SOG Jawans injured in Maoist landmine blast in Odisha

Malkangiri: Two Special Operation Group (SOG) Jawans were injured in a landmine blast on Bogapadar hills under Mathili police limits in Malkangiri district today.

Sources said a landmine planted by Maoists exploded when a combing operation by SOG Jawans was underway on Bogapadar hills this morning. Later, an exchange of fire ensued between the the police personnel and Maoists.

Two Jawans, who sustained injuries in the blast, were immediately rushed to a nearby BSF camp for treatment. The combing operation was on till last reports came in.
