4 held for abducting youth over ‘love triangle’ in Odisha capital

Bhubaneswar: The Nayapalli police in Odisha capital here have arrested four persons, including two minors, on charges of abducting a youth over a ‘love triangle’ on March 11.

According to police, some miscreants had abducted one Raja Sethi at sword-point while he was talking to his female friend Priya Nayak near the Passport Office in the capital city here in the evening hours of March 11.

The abductors reportedly took Raja to Puri and kept him as hostage.

The Nayapalli police launched a probe into the incident after receiving a complaint in this regard from Priya, sources said.

The police nabbed Priya’s friend Ankit Kahnra, her brother Prakash Nayak and two others in connection with the abduction case.

“Ankit could not tolerate Priya’s closeness with Raja. He along with Priya’s brother Prakash hatched a conspiracy to abduct Raja. We have rescued Raja from Puri and nabbed Ankit, Prakash and two others in connection with the case,” said a police officer.
