Raja Parba is here again, a festival exclusive to Odia culture. All Odias, home and abroad celebrate Raja with fervour. All young men and women consume mouthwatering paan, one of the quintessential things of Raja festival. Women enjoy a privileged status on this day and spend the day playing game of cards and Ludo. Young girls entertain themselves by playing Puchi and swinging on doli (swings). During these three to four days of festivities, poda pitha is prepared and eaten with relish by everyone.
