ACP’s minor son commits suicide in Odisha capital

Bhubaneswar: Assistant Commissioner of Police (ACP) Sanjeev Satpathy's 12-year-old son Ayush Satpathy allegedly committed suicide late last night in Odisha capital.

The deceased, a student of Class-VII, was found hanging from a ceiling fan in his room at his father's official residence in Jayadev Vihar here.

According to reports, the minor boy was playing an online game around 12 AM and sought help from his father regarding the game. After half an hour, his father found him in a hanging state in the room. He was immediately taken to the Capital Hospital, where he was declared dead.

The actual reason for which he took the extreme step is yet to be ascertained. Nayapalli police, along with a forensic team, reached his house and initiated investigation. The mobile phone used by him has been seized by the cops.
