Allu Arjun’s ‘Pushpa 2’ shooting all set to start in Odisha’s Malkangiri

Bhubaneswar: Telugu superstar Allu Arjun’s upcoming movie ‘Pushpa 2: The Rule’ will be shot in Malkangiri district of Odisha.

A 20-member team led by director Sukumar has already reached Malkangiri. Executive producer Balsubramaniam, CEO Cherry, art director Ram Krishna and fight master Dragon Prakash are some of the other members of the Pushpa 2 team that has reached the south Odisha district, sources said.

The team has made recce of various locations in the southern district before starting the formal shooting of the much-anticipated movie.

The film, based upon the smuggling of red sanders, will be shot in the forests of Malkangiri. Director Sukumar and his team have already started the process, sources added.

The team has reportedly obtained the required permission from the district Collector and SP.

“Allu Arjun is expected to reach Malkangiri in the first week of June for shooting of the movie,” said a source.

Notably, ‘Pushpa 2: The Rule’ is the sequel of Allu Arjun’s popular movie ‘Pushpa: The Rise’. The Telugu movie had minted Rs 350 crore across the country.

The teaser of Pushpa 2 was released on the occasion of Allu Arjun’s birthday some days ago. The Telugu superstar is seen wearing a sari and gold jewellery in the first-look poster of the movie.
