Babusaan has set the cash registers ringing twice this year. Ollywood pundits are all praises for this actor who has surpassed Anubhav and Arindam, this Raja and Dussehra, in terms of Box office collections.

Under the Sarthak Films banner, the Babusaan-Jhilik chemistry in Bhala Paae Tate 100 Ru 100 garnered much applause from the audience in June this year, while Gapa Hele Bi Sata, starring the dreamy Ollywood Jodi Anubhav-Barsha fell short in collections. During Raja, Jhilik had a second release in Love You Hamesha opposite Arindam which also did not succeed to woo spectators off their feet.

The Babusaan-starrer Bhala Paae Tate 100 Ru 100 has collected quite a good amount as compared to the other movies released during Durga Puja. Anubhav’s movie Jagaa Hatha Re Paghaa hit the screens around the same time failed to make an impact on the audience as well as the business. Though, Bhala Paae Tate 100 Ru 100 could not collect as much as Babusaan’s previous movie, Super Michua, he had the golden opportunity to work with the talented Sudhansu Sahoo, who left his comfort zone of action movies and directed this rom-com.

Ollywood critics are of the opinion that Uttam-Aparajita son has evolved as an actor over the years and has immense potential to rule hearts of the viewers and the Odia movie business if he makes the right moves. So was Babusaan twice lucky or did all the hard work pay off?
