BJP announces candidates for 112 Assembly Constituencies in Odisha; Here's the list

Bhubaneswar: The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) today announced its candidates for 112 Assembly constituencies in Odisha for the ensuing elections 2024.

The saffron party released its first phase of candidates for 112 Assembly seats in Odisha.

As per the list, Odisha BJP president Manmohan Samal will fight the polls from Chandabali Assembly Constituency. Senior BJP leader Suresh Pujari will contest from Brajarajnagar Assembly seat, and Tankadhar Tripathy will fight the Assembly polls from Jharsuguda.

Kusum Tete will fight from Sundargarh Assembly seat, Jayanarayan Mishra from Sambalpur and Biswaranjan Badajena from Jatani.

Actor-turned-politician Akash Dasnayak, who recently joined the BJP after quitting the BJD, has been given the ticket for Korei Assembly seat. Former BJD MP Sidhant Mohapatra bagged the BJP ticket to fight from Digapahandi.

Similarly, the new BJP member Priyadarshi Mishra will fight the polls from Bhubaneswar North.

While Jagannath Pradhan has been fielded from Bhubaneswar Central, Arabinda Dhali will fight from Jayadev, Babu Singh from Bhubaneswar Ekamra and Prithiviraj Harichandan from Chilika Assembly seat.

Sisir Mishra will contest against Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik from Hinjili Assembly Constituency, former BJD MP Pratyusha Rajeswari Singh has been fielded as the Assembly candidate for Nayagarh, Dushmanta Swain from Khandapada, Upasana Mohapatra - the daughter of Congress leader late Lulu Mopatara - from Bramhagiri, Ashrit Kumar Pattnayak from Pipili, Jayanta Kumar Sarangi from Puri, Pravati Parida from Nimapara, Tejeswar Parida from Patkura, KV Singh Deo from Patnagarh,

The party selected sitting MLA Suryabanshi Suraj - son of BJP leader late Bishnu Sethi to field him from Dhamnagar Assembly seat, Padmalochan Panda from Simulia, Rajendra Das from Soro, Gobinda Chandra Das from Remuna, Manas Kumar Dutta from Balasore, Braja Pradhan from Jaleswar, Irasis Acharya from Bhatli.
