Puri: Carcass of a 16-feet-long shark was found at Puri sea beach near Baliapanda lighthouse today.

On being informed, Forest officials reached the spot, recovered the body and were trying to ascertain the reason behind the death of the animal.

It is suspected that the shark died after being hit with a trawler.

Worth mentioning, decomposed carcass of a whale was found behind Panthanivas on Puri sea beach on April 3 this year.

Similarly, a 30-feet-long whale was found dead along the sea coast in Puri on February 16 this year.
