Chimpanzee dies in Odisha’s Nandankanan zoo

Bhubaneswar, Sep 26:

An infant chimpanzee breathed his last early this morning at the Nandankanan Zoological Park (NZP) on the outskirts of Odisha capital.

The chimpanzee John was under treatment since Wednesday due to pulmonary illness.

“John died early this morning while undergoing treatment for respiratory complications,” Deputy Director of Nandankanan Zoological Park Jayant Kumar Das said.

The chimpanzee was born on December 25, 2014 to Pampeta.
