Boudh: After convicting a man for sexually assaulting a divyang (differently abled) minor girl in 2024, a court in Boudh district today awarded him a seven-year rigorous imprisonment. 

An Additional District Judge in Boudh convicted Ganesh Pradhan of Gudapada village, who was found guilty under Section 10 of the Protection of Children from Sexual Offences (POCSO) Act and Section 332(g) of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita.

According to case details, the incident took place on March 7, 2024. The accused allegedly entered the complainant’s house in his absence and sexually assaulted his minor daughter, who is a divyang.

A case was registered at Boudh police station on March 12, 2024. Police carried out a investigation and promptly filed the chargesheet in court. 

Based on strong evidence and effective prosecution, the court delivered its judgment, holding the accused guilty.
