Daringbadi: In a brutal assault, a man allegedly chopped off genitals of his 4-year-old stepson at Dabedi village under Daringbadi police limits in Odisha's Kandhamal district.

The perpetrator reportedly targeted the child’s private parts in an act of extreme cruelty.

Mother’s gruesome discovery

According to reports, the victim's mother, Ramita Muthamajhi, had married Jikta Muthamajhi following the death of her first husband. On Thursday, Ramita had left her young son, Ramit, at home while she went out to collect cow dung.

Upon her return, she was met with a nightmare. She found her son bleeding profusely from a severe injury to his genitals. Despite the child’s critical state and heavy blood loss, the stepfather had reportedly remained indifferent and had not sought help or informed anyone of the injury.

Child in critical condition

The mother immediately rushed the boy to the Daringbadi CHC for emergency treatment. The doctors stated that the child’s condition remains critical due to the severity of the wounds and the significant loss of blood.
