Kataka: Cracking the case of abduction of a minor girl in Kataka, the Commissionerate Police have arrested an elderly man after rescuing the victim.

According to police, the accused had allegedly kidnapped the girl three days ago and was planning to sell her.

Acting on information and following an investigation, police traced the minor to Balikuda and rescued her. The accused was also apprehended during the operation.

Police said the accused is a scrap collector and is allegedly a habitual kidnapper.

Following the girl’s rescue, police contacted her family and reunited her with them.

Further investigation is underway to ascertain the circumstances surrounding the abduction and the accused’s alleged plan to sell the minor.
