Bhograi: A tense situation has gripped the Kamarda police station area under the Bhograi block of Baleshwar district following allegations that a minor girl was sexually assaulted and later abandoned.

A formal written complaint has been lodged by the family, prompting the police to initiate a thorough investigation.

According to the family's complaint filed at the local police station, the victim was rescued in an abandoned state after being targeted. The perpetrators allegedly dumped her at a desolate spot following the assault.

The police are advancing their probe by analyzing the victim's statement, inspecting the crime scene, and gathering other crucial evidence. Authorities have indicated that medical examinations of the minor and other statutory legal procedures will be conducted as required.
