Bhubaneswar: The police in Odisha’s Koraput district have arrested a man on charges of killing his wife and disposing of her body in neighbouring Andhra Pradesh.

The accused has been identified as Mohan Khila of Semiliguda area of Koraput. According to police, Khila had killed his wife over domestic discord a few days ago.

He along with his friend Milan Kuldeep carried the body to Andhra Pradesh in a car and buried it at Marupalli in Gajapathinagaram area of Vizianagaram district.

“We have arrested Khila and his friend Milan Kuldeep in connection with the murder case. We have also seized the car and the accused duo’s mobile phones among other things,” said a police officer.

The Semiliguda police in Koraput exhumed the body with the help of the officials of the local police station in Andhra, added the official.

“The body was exhumed and brought to Saheed Laxman Nayak Medical College and Hospital (SLNMCH) in Koraput for postmortem. Further investigation on the matter is underway,” said the official.
