Laxmipur: The body of a 17-year-old minor girl, who was studying in Plus 2 at Laxmipur College, was found hanging from a tree near her village, triggering concern among locals.

According to preliminary information, the girl, a resident of Toyaput village, had left home on Friday morning wearing her college uniform and told her family that she was going to college. However, she did not return home by evening or later at night.

After the girl remained missing, family members and villagers began searching for her. During the search, she was reportedly found hanging from a Chakunda (Senna tora) tree in an area near the village. Her body was found with the dupatta she had been wearing.

The circumstances surrounding her death remain unclear. It has not yet been established whether the girl died by suicide or whether there was any foul play.

Police had reportedly not reached the spot at the time of the report. The exact circumstances and reason behind the teenager's death are expected to become clear after a police investigation and other necessary procedures.
