‘Delivery Boy’ declared tax-free in Odisha

Bhubaneswar: The state government has waived off entertainment tax on Odia movie ‘Delivery Boy’.

Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik today approved a proposal in this regard, said an official.

The movie depicts the struggles of a delivery boy. The protagonist, a delivery boy, meets a road accident during his work. He along with his friends undertakes a long battle to get justice.

The movie also tries to create awareness on road safety measures.

The movie has been directed by Ashwini Tripathy and produced by Jyotiranjan Mohanty. It features Buddhaditya Mohanty, Sailendra Samantaray, Sushant Dasmahapatra, Priyambada and Suryamayi.

Notably, the state government had earlier waved off entertainment tax on Odia movie DAMaN and Hindi movie Zwigato.

“The state government is promoting Odisha as a destination for film shooting through proactive policies. This will promote tourism potential and provide employment opportunities for the youths of Odisha,” said the official.
