Puri: Bollywood actor Govinda offered prayers at the Shree Jagannath Temple on Tuesday and said he felt blessed to have darshan on the occasion of Maha Bishuba Sankranti, which marks the Odia New Year.

After the darshan, the actor appeared visibly emotional and expressed a deep spiritual connection. He said the blessings of Lord Jagannath have always guided and protected his family.

Govinda further shared, by the deity’s grace, he often gets intuitive indications about events beforehand. “People often ask me how I come to know things in advance. I simply pray to Lord Jagannath and seek his continued blessings,” he said.

Upon his arrival, the actor was accorded a traditional welcome at the Singhadwara, where he was presented with a ceremonial flag dedicated to Lord Jagannath before proceeding for darshan.

He also prayed for the well-being of everyone, wishing that no one is affected by negative influences related to environment, speech or actions.

Extending his greetings on the occasion of the Odia New Year, Govinda wished happiness and divine blessings for all Odias.
