IFC team visit Odisha capital to review e-waste project

Bhubaneswar, Feb 18:

A team of International Finance Corporation (IFC) under World Bank visited Odisha to review e-waste project in the smart city Bhubaneswar yesterday.

The team led by Burn Kopacek visited three locations of Odisha capital to review e-waste management following successful completion of the project in Hyderabad and Ahmadabad.

Accompanied by Swachh Bhubaneswar Cell (SBC) of Bhubaneswar Municipal Corporation (BMC), the IFC members visited Greenex India Private Limited at Kaling Vihar area, Transit Transport Station (TTS) at Sainik School and Sani Clean at Gurujang in Khurda.

The team discussed the e-waste management with BMC Commissioner Krishan Kumar yesterday.

As Bhubaneswar has been ranked the top in the smart city list with the highest votes, a blueprint has been prepared for long term e-waste management project in the city.
