Khaira: Fearing paranormal activity four students of Banchhakalpa Sanskrit Vidyalaya in Khaira of Balasore district today left the school hostel. Reportedly, other students of the school left the hostel yesterday over ‘ghost’ fear.

The matter came to light when the four students reached Udala bus stand of Mayurbhanj district by bus this morning. Suspecting something wrong initially locals quizzed the students who told them about the ‘ghost’ fear at their school hostel. Later the locals handed over the students to police.

Sources said as a villager was cremated near Banchhakalpa Sanskrit Vidyalaya a few days back, it is suspected that the students might have got the ghost fear following this only.

Meanwhile, headmistress of the school said she was not aware of any ghost fear. The students who left the hostel had given applications to the hostel warden, she added.
