Remember Save the Tiger project that aimed at conservation of the tigers and save them from extinction and the uproar when the tiger population kept on dwindling despite efforts from across the globe? However, the good news is that according to tiger census global count has increased by 22 percent. India has also put in humongous efforts in protecting the population of the big cat.

Sand artist Sudarsan Pattnaik did not forget to celebrate this day with a 10-feet long sand sculpture that took him three hours to carve, that read "Save Us" on Puri beach in Odisha.
