Bhubaneswar: Eggs were allegedly hurled at the vehicle of former Odisha minister and BJD MLA from Sonepur, Niranjan Pujari, near the new bus stand at Tarbha on Friday.

According to reports, Pujari was travelling from his residence in Rampur towards the Kamsara area of Tarbha for some work when the incident occurred. As his vehicle was entering Tarbha town, a group of youths allegedly threw eggs at the car near the new bus stand in the evening.

The eggs reportedly hit the vehicle. Following the incident, the car reportedly sped away from the spot.

The identity of those involved and the reason behind the egg-hurling incident have not been established yet. No official information regarding any injuries or damage has emerged so far.

Sources said no complaint had been lodged at the police station in connection with the incident till the time of reporting.
