Rourkela: Raghunathpalli Police have seized a gun from the Panposh Circuit House in Rourkela and arrested two young men in connection with the incident.

One of the arrested persons is from the Plantsite area of Rourkela, while the other is from Berhampur.

The incident came to light after a young BJP leader from Rourkela reportedly booked two suites at the Circuit House from July 21. The two arrested youths, along with the BJP leader, had been staying there.

Police are investigating why the two suites were booked for nearly 25 days and what activities were taking place there during the period.

The seizure of the firearm from the Circuit House has raised several questions, and police are conducting a detailed investigation to establish the circumstances under which the weapon was brought there.
