Bhubaneswar: In order to facilitate smooth travel and manage the increased passenger demand during the summer season, the Indian Railways has decided to operate more Summer Special Trains connecting key destinations including Anand Vihar–Khurda Road, Bhubaneswar–Kolkata, Visakhapatnam–Shalimar, Sambalpur–Shalimar, Patna–Khurda Road, and Puri–Patna.
These special services aim to provide enhanced connectivity and greater travel convenience for passengers during the peak holiday period.
Details of the Special Trains are as follows:
• 04066 Anand Vihar Terminal – Khurda Road Special will depart from Anand Vihar Terminal at 00:30 hrs every Monday from 20th April to 11th May 2026, reaching Khurda Road at 11:30 hrs on Tuesday.
• 04065 Khurda Road – Anand Vihar Terminal Special will leave Khurda Road at 15:30 hrs every Tuesday from 21st April to 12th May 2026, arriving at Anand Vihar Terminal at 03:40 hrs on Thursday.
• 08401 Bhubaneswar – Kolkata Special will depart from Bhubaneswar at 00:50 hrs every Tuesday from 14th April to 28th April 2026, reaching Kolkata at 11:30 hrs the same day.
• 08402 Kolkata – Bhubaneswar Special will leave Kolkata at 17:10 hrs every Tuesday from 14th April to 28th April 2026, arriving at Bhubaneswar at 00:45 hrs the following day.
• 08502 Visakhapatnam – Shalimar Special will run every Friday up to 24th April 2026, while 08503 Shalimar – Visakhapatnam Special will run every Saturday up to 25th April 2026.
• 08301 Sambalpur – Shalimar Special will operate every Wednesday from 15th April to 29th April 2026, and 08302 Shalimar – Sambalpur Special will run every Thursday from 16th April to 30th April 2026.
• 03230 Patna – Khurda Road Special will run every Thursday up to 14th May 2026, while 03229 Khurda Road – Patna Special will operate every Friday (up to mid May 2026).
• 08439 Puri – Patna Special will run every Saturday up to 16th May 2026, and 08440 Patna – Puri Special will run every Sunday (up to mid May 2026).
