Bhubaneswar: The administration in Odisha’s Cuttack district has placed three Revenue Inspectors (RIs) under suspension for dereliction of duty and indiscipline.

Cuttack Collector Dattatraya Bhausaheb Shinde has suspended the three RIs—Suchandra Mohanty, Anuradha Sahoo and Subhashree Subhasmita—under Odisha Civil Services Rules-1962, said the administration.

Mohanty was the RI of Gatirautapatna under Cuttack Sadar Tahsil while Sahu was working as the RI of Jodamu under Baramba Tahsil and Mohanty was the in-charge RI of Jagannathpur under Tangi-choudwar Tahsil, it added.

The trio has been asked to report to the headquarters during their suspension period. They are entitled to receive the basic emoluments as per the provisions of Odisha Service Code, said the administration.

The Collector has asked the authorities concerned to complete the departmental proceedings against the three suspended RIs within six months.
