Odisha: Over 100 students of residential school fall ill after suspected food poisoning

More than hundred students of a government-run residential school in Odisha’s Mayurbhanj district fell ill due to suspected food poisoning on Sunday. A team of health officials rushed to the school and took stock of the situation.

Bhubaneswar: More than hundred students of a government-run residential school in Odisha’s Mayurbhanj district fell ill due to suspected food poisoning on Sunday.

The incident took place at a residential school at Kakabandha under Rasgovindpur block in Mayurbhanj.

As per reports, at least 60 students of the school initially developed health complications including abdominal pain, headache and vomiting after having their meals today.

Forty more students of the school, later, complained of similar complications.

The affected students have been admitted to a community health centre (CHC) at Rasgovindpur.

On being informed, a team of health officials rushed to the school and took stock of the situation.
