Bhubaneswar: Tension prevailed at Ravenshaw University in Odisha’s Kataka city following a clash between two groups of students ahead of the student union polls on Wednesday.
The administration has deployed police personnel on the university campus to maintain law and order for the student union polls, scheduled to be held on October 15 (Thursday).
As per reports, a scuffle ensued between two groups of students following a brief argument soon after the ‘What I Stand For’ meeting on the varsity campus.
On being informed by the university authorities, the police reached the spot and brought the situation under control.
“The administration has deployed police personnel on the campus to check any untoward incident ahead of the student union polls,” said an official.
