Bhubaneswar: President Droupadi Murmu is scheduled to visit Odisha’s Rourkela city on April 21 and inaugurate a host of projects.
The President will reach the Steel City at 11.10 am on April 21 and return to Delhi at 4 pm, revealed by Union Tribal Affairs Minister Jual Oram on Sunday.
“I had invited the President to visit Rourkela and inaugurate several projects. She has accepted my invitation. The President will visit the Steel City on April 21,” said the Union Minister.
The President is scheduled to inaugurate an integrated command and control centre, recreational park, tribal museum and planetarium in Rourkela, he added.
The Sundargarh district administration and the authorities of Rourkela Municipal Corporation (RMC) have started preparation for the high-profile visit.
“Several cultural troupes will perform during the President’s visit to Rourkela. Over one lakh people from across Sundargarh district, including 10,000 students, will attend the programmes,” said the Union Minister.
