Bhubaneswar: A youth from Odisha’s Ganjam district was reportedly killed in a drone attack amid the ongoing Russia-Ukraine war.

The deceased has been identified as A. Rameya of Madhabandha village under Chikiti block in Ganjam district. Rameya had gone to Russia around a month ago for work.

He reportedly died in a drone strike in Moscow during the Russia-Ukraine conflict. A pall of gloom descended on the village after his family members came to know about the tragic incident.

Confirming the death, Ganjam Collector Keerthi Vasan V said that discussions are underway with the Indian Embassy regarding the matter.

The district administration is also making efforts to bring back the mortal remains of the deceased youth to Odisha, the Collector added.
