Sambalpur: A youth was allegedly murdered near Pataneshwari Temple in Sambalpur on Tuesday night, causing tension in the area.

The deceased has been identified as Chintu Bansal of Tiwari Gali.

After being informed about the incident, Town police reached the spot and recovered the body. Police have started an investigation into the circumstances surrounding the death.

Two persons have been detained on suspicion of involvement in the murder. They are being questioned by the police to determine their possible role in the crime.
