Bhubaneswar: Unidentified miscreants have allegedly abducted a woman from a posh area in Odisha capital here yesterday.

The woman was staying with her parents at Trident Galaxy Apartment in Chandaka area of the city after she was separated from her husband some days ago.

The woman reportedly went to Satsang Vihar near Vani Vihar yesterday afternoon but she did not return home.

Soon, her family launched a search to trace her but in vain. The woman’s father later lodged a complaint in this regard with Chandaka police.

The abductors reportedly sought a ransom of Rs 1 crore from the woman’s family.

The police have registered a case in this regard and launched an operation to trace the woman.
