Bhubaneswar: Veteran Bollywood actor Nana Patekar died at the age of 75 after suffering a cardiac arrest at his residence in Dona Paula, Goa, on Thursday morning.

Patekar was found unconscious at his residence and was rushed to the Manipal Hospital. Doctors attempted continuous cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) for around 45 minutes, but he could not be revived, said Dr Shekhar Salkar, Chief of the Oncology Department at Manipal Hospital.

He was declared dead at around 5:20 am.

A medico-legal case (MLC) has been registered, and a post-mortem examination will be conducted to establish the circumstances surrounding his death.
