Bhubaneswar: Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik is most eligible to become the the Prime Minister of the country, said senior leader and Biju Janata Dal (BJD) Vice-President Surjya Narayan Patro here today.

Speaking to Mediapersons, Patro said, “Once upon a time, talks were doing the rounds that legendary leader late Biju Patnaik will become the Prime Minister. It will be a matter of great pride, if the same is coming for his son Naveen Patnaik. It will bring fortune for the people of Odisha, if Naveen becomes the PM.”

“He (Naveen) is very much efficient for PM position. No one  can deny it,” Patro asserted.

On BJD’ equi-distance policy, Patro said the party will no longer adopt the decade-old policy.

“CM Naveen has already made it clear that BJD will no longer maintain equi-distance from Congress and BJP. It will extend its support to the party that works and protects the interest of the state and supports its genuine demands,” the senior leader stated.
