Bhubaneswar: Anil Kumar Singh, President & WTD, JSW BPSL has assumed charge as the Chairman of the Confederation of Indian Industry (CII), Odisha State Council, bringing with him a strong vision to further strengthen Odisha’s industrial growth and diversification.
Industries Minister Sampad Chandra Swain, Chief Secretary Anu Garg and Additional Chief Secretary (Industries) Hemant Sharma, Additional Chief Secretary – Home, Industries and I&PR were present on the occasion.

Speaking on the occasion, Singh highlighted Odisha’s remarkable economic progress and its successful transition into diversified sectors such as electronics, information technology, and advanced manufacturing. “While the state has traditionally been known for its strength in metals and mining, it is now steadily emerging as a preferred destination for new-age industries and investments,” he said.
Singh emphasized that progressive industrial policies, improved infrastructure, and proactive governance have played a significant role in attracting investments across sectors. He also underlined the importance of industry–government collaboration, innovation, and skill development in sustaining this growth momentum.
Under his leadership, the CII Odisha State Council will focus on strengthening partnerships, promoting investment opportunities and supporting the growth of emerging industries, while working towards inclusive and sustainable economic development in the state.
