Bhubaneswar: IBM has inaugurated its new FutureNow Center, a state-of-the-art facility, in Bhubaneswar, marking a significant expansion of its presence in Odisha. The FutureNow Center will advance digital transformation and accelerate economic growth of the region, as IBM Consulting continues to strengthen its Hybrid Cloud and AI Consulting capabilities delivered to global clients from India.
The Center was inaugurated on March 31, by Vishal Kumar Dev, Additional Chief Secretary, Electronics & Information Technology Department and Energy Department, in the presence of Amit Sharma, Managing Partner - Global Delivery, IBM Consulting, along with other dignitaries from the Govt. of Odisha and IBM.
Vishal Kumar Dev said “This expansion reflects growing confidence in Bhubaneswar as a leading IT and global delivery hub in Eastern India. It also aligns with Odisha’s strategic focus on emerging sectors such as semiconductors, data centres, and digital infrastructure”.
Aligned with IBM’s focus on emerging cities, its expanding presence in Bhubaneswar will enable the company to recruit talent from leading local universities and the region, creating new employment opportunities and strengthening Odisha’s innovation ecosystem.
