Jharsuguda: Vedanta Aluminium, India’s largest producer of aluminium, celebrated the 90th Utkal Divas at its Jharsuguda operations with a series of vibrant cultural programmes, paying tribute to Odisha’s rich heritage, enduring spirit and collective progress.

The celebration brought together over 3,000 employees, their families and members of the local community, who participated in a range of cultural competitions, including music, dance, and regional cuisine preparation, fostering a shared sense of pride in the state’s remarkable journey.

As part of the celebrations, the company felicitated Dr. Sanjeeb Kumar Mishra, a distinguished physician with over a decade of experience, in recognition of his outstanding contribution to public health and community service in the region. The honour was conferred in the presence of the company’s senior leadership, who commended the awardee for his commitment to service.

The event featured enthralling performances by renowned Odia vocalists Sourav Bharadwaj, Anjali Dutta, and Sachin Rout, who captivated the audience with soulful music. There were vibrant dance performances by Debadasi institution and a Sambalpuri dance group, reflecting the region’s rich artistic traditions. Adding to the immersive experience, the event showcased Odisha’s rich folk art and craftsmanship, while an elaborate spread of authentic Odia cuisine offered attendees a taste of the state’s diverse culinary heritage.
