Bhubaneswar: Odisha born singer Vikas Kumar aka VeeKay is here again! This time, the 27-year-old YouTuber has crooned a Punjabi number Mere Yaar, in association with one of India's largest music labels and most viewed YouTube channel, T-Series.

The song that speaks of love and heartbreak was trending 24 on YouTube and has so far gained 262K views on the official Punjabi channel of T-series.

Composed and sung by Veekay with the lyrics of Veen Ranjha, the music video features the Kaisi Yeh Yaariyan (an immensely popular online youth show) star Niti Taylor and debutant Anmol Chopra.

"It is a romantic song with unique urban flavour. I have tried my best to capture various layers of love and romance and also that of heartache. I feel grateful for all the love the audience are showering on us," said the VeeKay.

Born in Cuttack, VeeKay has been releasing various renditions and covers of popular Bollywood songs and garnering views in millions on YouTube. His cover of Sang Hoon Tere from the movie Jannat 2 attracted 9.1 million views, while the Enna Sona reprise version has a whopping 2.2 million views on his YouTube channel.
