Bhubaneswar: The state government will extend the purview of Nua-O scholarship scheme in Odisha.

The state Cabinet, headed by Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik, today approved the amendment to the Nua-O scholarship guideline to extend its scope of implementation.

The amendment has allowed the state government to include the students pursuing various non-technical undergraduate and postgraduate (UG&PG) courses in the institutions under the administrative control of other departments in the state under the Nua-O scholarship scheme.

Earlier, the state government had announced that it would provide Nua-O scholarships to UG and PG students of state universities and government and non-government colleges under the Higher Education department in Odisha.
