In Bhubaneswar, Namaz was offered at several mosques including the Unit-4 masjid where thousands of Muslims gathered for the prayer. Similar scenes were witnessed at mosques in millennium city Cuttack and other parts of the state.

The festival was observed with offering sweets, sweet dishes, biryani and varieties of food items to friends, relatives and others after holy prayers in the morning.
