Odisha CM not to meet well-wishers on New Year's Day. Here’s why

Bhubaneswar: Odisha Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik, citing his ill-health, has requested his all well-wishers not to throng at his residence Naveen Niwas in Odisha capital tomorrow to greet him on the occasion of New Year, a communication issued by his office in this regard, said today.

Naveen has decided to stay away from celebrations as his doctors advised him to do so.

“As doctors advised CM Naveen Patnaik to take rest following knee pain soon after he completed his morning walk today,” the CMO release added.

Therefore, all the well-wishers of Patnaik have been requested not to visit Naveen Niwas on Tuesday to greet the leader.

The CM, however, will visit Jagannath Temple in Puri for darshan in the morning and will attend office in the evening, the CMO release added.
