Bhubaneswar: A man in Odisha’s Sundargarh district allegedly stabbed his brother-in-law to death over domestic violence today.

The deceased has been identified as Jayanam Satnami of Rajgangpur area in Sundargarh. Satnami was allegedly torturing his wife over domestic discord.

Satnami’s brother-in-law (wife’s brother) Marx Toppo allegedly stabbed him multiple times with a knife at Tunguritoli under Rajgangpur police limits today afternoon. Satnami died on the spot, sources said.

On being informed, police reached the spot and seized the body before arresting the accused.

“The accused has confessed to the crime. He informed us that Satnami was torturing his sister. So, the accused had planned to kill Satnami,” said a police officer.
