Bhubaneswar: The State government today said online pollution testing certificate is mandatory for motorists from October 1, 2019. According to a press release issued by the State Transport Department, no pollution under control (PUC) certificate will be accepted without being issued through VAHAN after October 1, 2019.

The manual certificates issued by pollution testing centres after September 30, 2019 will be treated as invalid, the release added.

Motorists can show the online PUC certificate in an electronic form through mParivahan app, instead of carrying the document in physical form.

The list of valid pollution testing centres is available on the websites: www.odishatransport.gov.in and www.orissatransport.nic.in

Fee for a PUC certificate for two and three wheelers is Rs 60, for Light Motor Vehicle Rs 100 and Medium and Heavy Motor Vehicle Rs 150 and GST as applicable.

Currently, 163 authorised pollution testing centres are available throughout the State. Of them 106 pollution testing centres have already been linked with VAHAN.
