Keonjhar: A POCSO court in Odisha’s Keonjhar district today convicted a man and his son for raping a minor girl two years ago.

The court sentenced the man to 20 years of rigorous imprisonment (RI) and slapped a penalty of Rs 10,000 on him.

It also awarded 25 years of RI to the son and slapped a penalty of Rs 20,000 on him.

Besides, the court directed the authorities concerned to provide Rs 6 lakh as compensation to the victim.

The incident had taken place under Keonjhar Sadar police limits in 2022.

The court convicted the father-son duo after examining 18 witnesses and other evidence to the case.
