Bhubaneswar: A new Vice-Chancellor (VC) has been appointed for the Odisha State Open University (OSOU) at Sambalpur.

Governor and Chancellor Raghubar Das has appointed Prof. Shyam Sundar Pattnaik as the new VC of OSOU.

Pattnaik replaced incumbent OSOU Vice-Chancellor Prof. Arka Kumar Das Mohapatra.

Pattnaik has been appointed as the VC of OSOU for a period of three years with effect from the date he assumes office as such or until further orders whichever is earlier.

At present, Pattnaik is serving as a professor at the National Institute of Technical Teachers Training and Research (NITTR) at Chandigarh.
