Bhubaneswar: The Odisha government will soon recruit 1,008 Postgraduate Teachers (PGTs) in the state.

The School and Mass Education (S&ME) department has initiated process for the recruitment, said an official today.

The PGTs will be recruited for around 150 higher secondary schools in Odisha. The recruitment will be done for 23 different subjects in these higher secondary schools, added the official.

The recruitment will be carried out through the Odisha Public Service Commission (OPSC).

“The lecturers of the Higher Education department, who have been engaged in the higher secondary schools on deputation basis, will return to their previous places of posting soon after the completion of recruitment of PGTs in the state,” said the official.
