Odisha’s Bhubaneswar airport bags Best Airport Award

Bhubaneswar: Odisha’s lone international airport – Biju Patnaik International Airport (BPIA) – has added another feather to its cap. BPIA has bagged the Airport Service Quality (ASQ) 2018 award for being the ‘Best Airport’.

As per Airport Director Suresh Chandra Hota, the airport has been chosen as the best airport under 2 to 5 million passengers category for 2018. “We humbly thank all our passengers, stakeholders and partners,” Hota said.

Three airports from India have been awarded as best airports (Under 2 to 5 million passengers in Asia-Pacific region). Apart from BPIA, Chandigarh Airport and Devi Ahilyabai Holkar Airport (Indore) have also been awarded in this category.

The 2nd ACI Customer Experience Global Summit was held on Wednesday in Bali, Indonesia.

Worth mentioning, this award is accorded on the basis of independent survey amongst passengers on various parameters like security, safety, experience, ambiance, ease of availability and cleanliness.

BPIA has been conferred with the prestigious award for the second consecutive time.
