Pandian Stories fame actress Chithu found dead in hotel

Chennai: Tamil television actress VJ Chithra (28), popularly known as Chithu, was found hanging inside a hotel room in Chennai in the wee hours of December 9. She allegedly died by suicide.

Chithu rose to fame after playing the character Mullai in popular television serial Pandian Stories.

She returned to her hotel room around 2.30 am after completing the shooting for the serial. She was later found dead. The body has been recovered by police for post-mortem while further investigation was underway.

As per a report by Indiaglitz, she had been staying with her fiance Hemanth at a hotel in Chennai. The couple got engaged a few months ago. After she returned to the hotel room, Hemanth found that her room was locked from inside and sought the help of the hotel staff for a duplicate key.

As the door was opened, her body was found hanging from the ceiling fan.
