Roundtable discussion on 'Climate Change & Odisha' tomorrow

New Delhi: With an aim to provide a platform for discussions, brainstorming with the help of national and international experts and initiating need based policy drives, Odia Samaj is organising a Roundtable Discussion titled ‘Climate Change and Odisha’ at India International Centre in New Delhi tomorrow.

Senior experts and policy advisors from institutions like IIT, World Bank, TERI and Oxford Policy Management shall be speaking on this occasion.

The speakers would focus topics like, Response to climate change in Odisha-the strategic roadmap; Ways to change with changing climate; Climate change impacts and vulnerability assessment; Climate change action plan and policies: Odisha.

Charudutta Panigrahi would give the opening address and Siddhartha Pradhan, President Odia Samaj shall address the first Roundtable of Odia Samaj and would elaborate on the roadmap for the policy initiatives to be taken up by the Odia Samaj and the desired outcomes with the help of the governments and the civil society. Hiranya Mohanty would sum up the discussions and provide the elements of the discussions for subsequent follow ups.

Notably, Odia Samaj, the leading non-profit, socio-cultural organisation which has recently organized Odisha Parba at New Delhi, is emerging as an effective and neutral think tank, concerning primarily Odisha’s developmental priorities.
