Sonu Nigam enthralls Odisha fans despite severe illness

Jeypore: Bollywood singer Sonu Nigam made it to Odisha and performed at a live musical concert in Jeypore, despite being hospitalized the day before.

The Kal Ho Na Ho singer suffered from a major bout of allergies due to consumption of seafood and was rushed to a hospital in Mumbai, a day prior to his Odisha tour. However, he asked his agent not to cancel the event and flew to Odisha to keep his professional commitment.

He mesmerised his fans with his popular songs such as Deewana Tera, Suraj Hua Madham, Hans Mat Pagli, Abhi Mujh Mein Kahin and renditions of Kishore Kumar songs like Pyaar Maanga Hai Tumhi Se and Kabhi Alvida Na Kehna. He even interacted with the audience and entertained them by singing the words 'Odisha mein aaye hai toh Odia sur mein gaayega'.

His fans in Jeypore appreciated his professionalism and took to social media to express their love for the Bollywood playback singer.

Sonu Nigam also thanked his team, support staff and doctors in Odisha who aided him in giving a lively performance.

He shared story of his hospitalisation due to an allergic reaction to seafood and pictures of his severely swollen eye on social media after returning from Odisha and cautioned his fans to beware of allergens and resulting allergies.
