As per the CHSE guidelines, there should not be evaluation in darkness. However, the teachers on answer sheet evaluation duty continued it violating the guidelines, he said.

The mobile phone is required for e-evaluation to get OTP. The teachers, who are assigned for conducting e-evaluation, can bring the devices to the evaluation centre. However, the mobile phone is completely banned for the teachers for offline evaluation at the centres, he added.

The serious blunder was reported from the MPC Autonomous College in Baripada. A visual of the evaluation of annual +2 examinations papers under mobile phone torch was aired on a private news channel yesterday showing the teachers engaged in such irresponsible act.

According to reports, left with no option, the teachers on evaluation duty had examined the papers at the State-run college with help of inbuilt torch light of mobile phones due to power outage during thunderstorm.
